Step 4: Format the Chart
The generated bar chart can be formatted in various ways to improve usability. Formatting options include changing aspects of the axes, altering legends, adding titles and labels and using color schemes.
Step 5: Evaluate Dependencies
Once the bar chart has been formatted, sub-tasks can be linked to show the relationships between them. Links are typically represented by lines with arrowheads joining predecessor tasks to successor tasks. Linking is important as it creates dependencies. Control of these dependencies is crucial to ensuring that delays in predecessor tasks do not have a ripple effect on successor tasks.
